Job description 🎯

Reporting to the Aerodynamics Manager of the Experimental Design Office, the aircraft aeroacoustic engineer M/F (intern) will join the aircraft design team to work on the 19 pax electric aircraft project : ERA (Electric Regional Aircraft). In this framework, you will directly work on the aeroacoustics analysis of the entire aircraft. 

We support you in putting into practice all the theoretical knowledge you have acquired during your training.

Your main tasks will be the following: 

  • To familiarize yourself with our fast aeroacoustics prediction tools ; 

  • To perform a bibliographical research about the aeroacoustic methods available in the tool ; 

  • To perform an aeroacoustic computation of validation benchmarks ; 

  • To perform an aeroacoustic computation of the aircraft ERA for several flight conditions ; 

  • To assess the noise levels of ERA regarding the top level aircraft requirements ;

  • To develop or implement aeroacoustic tools and methods.

Required profile 🕵️‍♂️

With a minimum MSc higher education (BAC+5) in the field of aeronautical engineering, preferably in aerodynamics or aeroacoustics, you are looking for a 6-months internship in a company to support your studies. 

We place particular emphasis on your interpersonal skills. 

Your key assets for the internship are: 

  • A previous experience in aeroacoustics (internship or academic research project) ; 

  • Strong knowledge in low-fidelity CFD (viscous-coupled panel methods) ; 

  • Knowledge of noise certification rules ;

  • A previous experience with ParaView and FlightStream is welcomed.
